Mist beings are not a magical creature. Each being had a certain element, the thing they are best at, doubled with the smell and color in mist form of that element, as they think it should appear. The mist being can use this mist, which is more solid than it appears, using the molecules and condensing them into small objects, or in some cases, large objects, or loosely creating tangible objects with said mist that retain the color and smell of the mist.
This mist can also be used to move things, the mist being an extension of a mist being's body, it is used almost as if it is an extra, flexible arm. The mist beings can disconnect a portion of its mist from itself, though too much is dangerous- each mist being has a certain amount of mist reserves in his or her body. Their mist, of course, can be replenished, if they come into contact with their element. For example, a mist being that controls romance can replenish his supply of mist if a romantic thing, say, a proposal happened nearby.
Each mist being has only one element, and no living mist beings can have the same element. If one mist being does perish, another mist bieng can be born with the element of the perished. Also, if a mist being is exposed for a period of time to silver, they can be said to lose their mist, but no newborn child is born with that mist until after their complete and utter death.
This leads us to believe that the mist beings who have been said to have "lost" their mist, have in face not lost it, but have had their mist weakened beyong replenishing. The mist beings do not need to breathe, and they do not need hearts to pump blood through their bodies. Instead, their mist moves their blood for them, and gathers oxygen from the air or water around them. The mist beings are a strong being, and can go for multiple days without oxygen, their mist has reserves of the gas for extreme situations.
The mist beings also do not need to eat. They can, but again, they do not need to, because their mist draws nutrients from its surroundings as well. For this reason, mist beings can usually easily stay fit and healthy, unless they succumb to a disease that prevents their mist from carrying out its duties.
Silver, the natural enemy of the mist beings, burns the skin. Being around large quantities of silver in general also weakens the powers of the mist beings, and can cause them to fall violently ill under extreme cases. Unless the amount of silver is small, the mist of the mist beings can be held under a terrible threat. This is because Silver's atoms react well with the atoms in the mists of the mist beings, and the energies released create high temperatures, burning the skin around the site of contact.
For these reason, we see, the mist beings are a beautiful and wonderful creature, but as proven by these reasons, they are very non magical.
